From Bogor to Seattle, Savannah and now Boston. I grew up side by side with Firefox, Warcraft, Facebook, and Playstation the digital worlds that shaped how I understood and connected with HCI. My collective roots keep me grounded in the principle of putting humans first in design and serving humanity through it.

FAQ's about Me

Who is Piere Pavel?

What can he help you build?

What’s in his toolkit?

What shaped his perspective and process?

How much will it cost?

What font is that?

Can you write about x?

OUT:

With the right team, I help turn complexity into clarity—designing systems, experiences, and interfaces that connect people and purpose. Using the Triple Diamond framework, alongside other research and design methodologies, ensures that every phase; from research and data synthesis to journey mapping, prototyping, and blueprinting, moves us closer to meaningful solutions.

Through this process, I’ve learned to identify the features and dynamics of the systems we work with and to generate, test, and refine the right options for outcomes that create real value for every stakeholder involved.

Design Foundations

Systemic

Studying Service Design has amplified my lateral and strategic thinking — strengthening my ability to recognize, prioritize, and mobilize. From research and data synthesis to journey mapping, prototyping, and blueprinting, I’ve learned to identify the features and dynamics of the systems we focus on and to generate and test the right options for robust solutions.

Great Design

Understanding human behavior taught me that Great design works subliminally, quietly shifting how someone feels, moves, or lives. It’s never about the design itself, but about the environment. Great people come from great environments — which is why I’m actively shaping mine in pursuit of greatness.

Manifesto

That’s the design I strive for — design that serves. And that’s why I’m committed to bettering myself, my environment, my community, and eventually, the world. By creating spaces, systems, and experiences that help people become their best selves.

Future Of Technology

Blending Service Design with User Experience, and guided by my exploration of human behavior and the human brain, I aim to solve the liminal spaces where technology meets humanity. My focus is on shaping future experiences through HCI and BCI, grounded in systemic thinking. I’m especially curious about how brain-computer interfaces could evolve beyond simple control tools — toward systems that support focus, learning, and mental well-being. This is where design and biotechnology converge, and it’s the frontier I’m committed to exploring.

Summer 2025!

Glimpses of my journey becoming the person I am today.

Field Trip!

In my Biomimicry class, I learned about eusocial species — ants, bees, termites. They make up only about 3% of insect species, yet account for more than half of all insect biomass. E.O. Wilson, the myrmecologist who devoted his life to studying ants, showed that their success comes not from competition but from collaboration. Humans can learn from this: the species that thrive are the ones that organize, care for each other, and build collectively.

And of course would never be able to make it alone.
